Before photography and before becoming a teacher, I worked in a care home - an experience that changed the way I see everything. In my free time, I’d walk the halls and sit with the residents, listening to their stories. Some shared vibrant memories; others clung to just a few fading details. But what always stayed with me was how often they’d reach for a photograph - a worn image held with care, a face frozen in time, a love remembered.
That’s when I learned something I’ll never forget: sometimes, all we’re left with is a photo. A single image that holds an entire story.
